Thermal Gliding Field

The glider folks do thermal flying at the Mountainaire Meadow flying field a location south of Flagstaff, off Interstate 17 at Mountainaire.

Slope Soaring Sites

Slope soaring can be found North of the Power Flying Field on Sheba and Merriam craters and south of Flagstaff at the Mormon Lake overlook.When the weather starts warming up both of these sites have strong thermals passing through... slope plus thermal equals slermal.
